Resume
Frank Spin - Team Lead & Digital product maker
I lead digital product work and still design and build it myself. Freelance since 2007. Born in '89, living in the countryside in the north of the Netherlands - father of three, working from home.
What you can count on
- Direction set early and decisions written down.
- Senior judgment from someone who still knows how to design and code.
- Honest and direct, also when it's uncomfortable.
- A predictable process: weekly updates, no surprises.
- AI workflows that cut busywork for the whole team.
Selected experience
For more than 15 years I have helped startups, scale-ups, agencies, and established brands design, build, and grow digital products and websites. My work sits at the intersection of product strategy, UX, design, front-end development, content management, and digital marketing.
I help WalletJump build and improve its financial comparison platform, with a focus on front-end development, design system implementation, Sanity CMS, and platform tooling.
My work includes building reusable React/Astro page templates, implementing a token-based workflow connected to Figma, and translating design system foundations into a shared component system. This component system is documented and tested through Storybook, helping the team keep the product consistent across comparison pages, reviews, guides, expert profiles, and product data.
I also work heavily on customizing Sanity to fit WalletJump's specific editorial and content requirements, including custom schemas, preview workflows, structured content models, and tools that make it easier for the team to manage and publish financial content.
In addition, I contribute to supporting infrastructure such as Cloudflare deployment workflows, search indexing, image syncing, and internal tooling that helps the platform scale more efficiently.
Building BricksDeal, a price comparison and tracking platform for LEGO sets. I lead product strategy, design, engineering, content, partnerships, and growth.
Modernized the platform front-end, improved maintainability and UX, implemented the new brand identity across the marketing website, and introduced a Sanity-powered content workflow.
Helped launch a self-service customer dashboard, translating product and design requirements into a responsive, maintainable front-end for service management.
Designed and developed Payt's marketing platform over nearly a decade, including redesigns, platform improvements, and an early large-scale static-site architecture with Hugo and Netlify CMS.
Building a collection of themes and templates for modern web projects. Currently rebuilding the platform with a stronger product structure, better publishing workflow, and cleaner front-end foundation.
Built and grew a website monitoring product for uptime, speed, and site health. UptimeMate was later acquired by HostPapa.
Designed and developed websites and digital campaigns for health, fitness, and lifestyle brands including HealthCity, HDD Group, TJ Boxing, 3SIXTY5 Personal Training, and Pixformance.
Built front-end implementations and WordPress projects for clients including Jorritsma Bouw, Rizoem, Munnik Brandadvies, and companies in construction and commercial real estate.
Designed and developed websites for hospitality, travel, and recreation brands including WestCord Hotels, Corendon, SS Rotterdam, and Hotel New York.
My first agency, focused on small and medium businesses - later folded into working under my own name.
